BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who they say robbed a local business at gunpoint.

The incident happened Thursday, August 7 after 11 p.m. at the Trula B's Cafe at 715 Williamsport Pike in the Berkeley Plaza Shopping Center.

Deputies said a light skinned African American male in his late teens to early 20's, last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, entered the restaurant with a handgun and demanded money. He fled in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash, deputies say.

The sheriff's office said video archives are being examined and photos of the person of interest may be released in the future.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Sgt. Ted Snyder at (304)-267-7000 or Berkeley County Crime Solvers at (304)-267-4999.
