WARREN COUNTYVa. - Two teens were arrested Wednesday after Front Royal police said they discovered drugs in their vehicle during a routine traffic stop.

At 3:49 p.m. on July 16, the driver, Michaela Snead, 18, and her passenger, Marquise Lewis, 19, were stopped by police at the intersection of Sycamore Lane and Happy Creek Road in Front Royal. After approaching the vehicle, officers said they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Following a conversation with Snead and Lewis, police said they searched the vehicle and seized two ounces of marijuana, as well as Percocet and Ecstasy.

Officers said Lewis was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and was held on a $1000 bond, while Snead was charged with two counts of possession of a schedule I/II narcotic and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. She was released on a $10,000 bond.

Snead and Lewis will both appear in Warren County General District Court on August 19, according to the Front Royal Police Department.
