UPDATE: Deputies Find Elderly Woman in Wooded Area

FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. - Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office found Sandra Starr, 72, in a wooded area north of the Hilltop House main facility around 8:40 a.m.

Starr is in good condition and was transported to Winchester Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Deputies were called to Hilltop House Friday around 5:49 p.m. in reference to a missing elderly woman.

According to the staff at Hilltop House, Starr was last seen on the property at around 4 p.m. on Friday. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a white jacket. Starr normally carries with her a white purse and wears wire rim glasses.

The staff said Starr has stage one Dementia and takes numerous medications for other medical issues. All efforts and resources were used throughout the night to try and locate Starr. Deputies have used K9, ATV, aerial assistance from the Virginia State Police as well as foot searches from multiple agencies.
