Two People Flown to Hospital After Motorcycle Crash in Greene Township

GREENE TOWNSHIP, Pa. Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg Barrack have identified the names of the two passengers involved in the serious motorcycle accident Saturday morning around 11:34 a.m.

It happened on Black Gap Road at the intersection of Houser Road. The passengers of the motorcyle have been identifed as Samuel Tauser, 65 of East Berlin, Pennsylvania and Carla Hershey, 56, of Orrstown, Pennsylvania.

Tauser and Hershey were riding in a 2002 Dresser Harley-Davidson, traveling southbound on State Road 997 Black Gap attempting to turn onto a right curve. That is when the motorcycle struck another car's side mirror with his handlebar.

The motorcycle slid on its side and eventually stopped in the northbound lane of Black Gap Road with severe damage. Both passengers suffered major injuries and were sent to Hershey Medical Center.

The driver of the car, Gary Hershey, 61, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania did not suffer any injuries.
