Vehicle Crashes into School Bus, Driver Taken to the Hospital

MINERAL COUNTY, W.Va. One person was taken to the hospital Thursday evening after an accident involving a school bus.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. along the intersection of Rt. 28 and Seymour Road in Ridgeley.

Initial reports indicated a vehicle rear-ended a school bus that was carrying five to six children.

The driver was transported to Western Maryland Regional Hospital by the Ridgeley Fire Department ambulance. No children were injured in the crash.

West Virginia State Police Keyser Barracks is investigating this incident.

The intersection is still shut down at this time while crews work to tow the vehicle. Dispatch says the school bus was not damaged in the accident.
