Virginia Man Arrested in Heroin Death Investigation

Harrisonburg, VA - A Frederick County, Virginia man is behind bars facing charges in a death investigation.

Tyler Clements is awaiting his hearing in U.S. District Court in Harrisonburg after being arrested Wednesday night in West Virginia.  Clements was the passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for a routine traffic violation, and then taken into custody.

He had a federal warrant out for his arrest after he was charged with the death of Derek Sprouse of Stephens City.  Clements allegedly sold Sprouse a lethal dose of heroin that killed him on August 17th, 2013.

Clements is being held without bond at the Rockingham County Jail in Federal custody, and is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in jail if convicted.
