FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - Police say a Walkersville teenager is being charged as an adult in two sex assault cases in Frederick County.

Kelby Spence, 17, faces charges after police say he attacked two women as they were jogging in the Walkersville Community Park on April 6, 2014.

The teen faces three counts of attempted second-degree rape and three counts of third-degree sexual offenses.

Police also linked him to a case from November 2013 when a 57-year-old woman was also attacked from behind walking alone in the park. She was able to fight off the attacker and escape.

Spence is currently being held at the Frederick County Detention Center on $175,000 bond.

Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to call TFC Josh White with the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division at 301-600-4150, or Sgt. Rock Bachtell at 443-463-2164. The investigation is ongoing.
