Waynesboro Man Arrested in Five Separate Burglaries

- FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - A Waynesboro man is facing multiple charges in connection to five separate burglaries that occurred over a period of two months. 

Officers with the Waynesboro Police Department say Charles Nolan was taken into custody on June 22, 2014 in connection to numerous burglaries.

The first incident happened on May 10 at 2:28 p.m. at 14. N. Potomac Street. The second burglary happened on June 4 at 6:27 p.m. at 107 Linden Avenue. Officers say days later, on June 19 Nolan broke into a building located on 337 W. Eighth Street. The fourth crime was reported on June 20 at 5:38 p.m. at 27 W. Third Street. The last break in occurred on June 21 at 11:50 a.m. on 139 S. Potomac Street. 

Officers say while attempting to arrest Nolan on June 22 in the unit of S. Franklin Street, he fled on foot. They say he was apprehended a few minutes later in the area of Alley #1 North and was charged with escape and resisting arrest. 

Nolan faces countless charges related to the five burglaries including, burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property. 

Police say Nolan is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail.
