Williamsport wins Maryland 2A Baseball Championship

Wildcats win in 9 innings, 2-1 over Patuxent to win the Maryland 2A State Championship.  Williamsport went up 1-0 in the Bottom 3rd on a infield single from Tyler Nally, Brandon Toloso socred.  In the Top of the 7th, Patuxent scored on a squeeze bunt to tie it 1-1. 

In the Bottom of the 8th, the Wildcats had runners at second and third with 1 out.  Patuxent played the infield in and the Wildcats hit to third and made a diving tag at 3rd for 2 outs.  With a runner still at 2nd, Zach Lucas hit a tapper back to the mound and was out. 

Williamsport got a run in the 9th with a squeeze bunt by Brandon Toloso and Tyler Martin scored the game winning run.

The Wildcats finish the season at 15-9.  This is Williamsport's 1st State Championship since 1975.
