Winter Weather Alert: After most of the area has seen some form of winter precipitation throughout the day, more is on the way for the evening hours tonight.

The National Weather Service has expanded the Winter Weather Advisory to re-include the eastern portions of the WHAG Viewing Area through 2:00 AM Tuesday Morning.

The Winter Storm Warning continues for Garrett County, MD, Bedford, Fulton and Somerset Counties, PA through Midnight or 2:00 AM EDT Tuesday Morning.

The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the rest of the counties not listed above.

The primary concern for tonight is a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain primarily above 1000 feet.  This will make all elevated surfaces such as roadways, overpasses, etc. slick overnight and into Tuesday Morning.

This will change over to rain late tonight, with a few rain showers lasting through Tuesday Morning.
