Woman Flown to Shock Trauma After Crashing Into a Stream

NEW MIDWAY, Md. - In Frederick County, Maryland, a woman was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious injuries after crashing her truck along Route 194 in New Midway.

According to Maryland State Police in Frederick, 25-year-old Amanda Garber, of Keymar, was driving her 1991 Ford Bronco along Woodsboro Pike, between Barker Road and Smith Lane, when her truck went off the roadway, rolled over an embankment, and came to rest on its roof in a stream.

Police say Garber was trapped under the vehicle in the water.

Route 194 was shut down for about two hours.
