Police seeking public's help in identifying two fraud suspects

First incident occurred at Safeway, second occurred at CVS on Belle View Blvd.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects involved in two separate incidents. 
 
The first incident occurred on Feb. 1 at the Safeway located at 1624 Belle View Boulevard. A man entered the store and purchased over $1,300 worth of gift cards with counterfeit money. The suspect made threatening statements toward the cashier and fled the scene after obtaining the giftcards. 
 
The second incident occurred on Feb. 24 at the CVS pharmacy located at 1636 Belle View Boulevard. A man entered the store and claimed that he had been armed with explosives by a third party and needed to purchase gift cards. The suspect then provided counterfeit money to the cashier in exhange for gift cards valued at over $800.
