Pa. Man Charged with Stealing Laptops from Walmart

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Officers with the Washington Township Police Department are searching for a man who they said stole two laptops from a local Walmart. 

Police said on Aug. 11 at 2:51 p.m. they were called to the Walmart Rouzerville Commons for a theft that happened the day before. 

Walmart employees discovered that two display model laptops were taken from the display shelf.

After reviewing security footage, it's believed around 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, a white man driving a silver Audi arrived at the parking lot, and entered the store where he went over to the electronics department. They said he then cut the security lanyard on the laptop and slid it down the front of his shorts. He then left the store. 

The man returned to the store around 6:30 a.m. with a woman. This time, they were driving in a red Volkswagen. They entered the store, where the man stole another laptop in the same manner. 

Washington Township police have charged Michael Rubino, 30, of Wilkes Barre, Pa. with felony retail theft for stealing two laptops valued at $946. 

An arrest warrant has been issued for Rubino. If you have any information on his whereabouts you're asked too call police at (717)-762-1447 or (717)-762-1145.
