Pedestrian Taken to Hospital in Hit and Run

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - A Hagerstown man was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon after he was struck by a passing vehicle. 

The incident happened around 12:58 p.m. along Greencastle Pike south of Cindy Lane. 

Troopers say a white passenger car with possible Pennsylvania registration struck a pedestrian when traveling northbound on Greencastle Pike. They say the vehicle failed to stop at the scene of the collision. 

The pedestrian has been identified as Devin Howard of Hagerstown. Howard was transported to Meritus Medical Center with minor injuries. 

State police say the vehicle may have damage to the passenger side mirror. Anyone with information on the vehicle or driver should contact S/TPR Eichelberger at the Maryland State Barrack 301-766-3800.
