Pennsylvania Woman Dies After Being Struck By A Car

FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA - A woman has died after being hit by a car after leaving a yard sale.

Pennsylvania State Troopers say it happened on State Route 11 in Greene Township around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, and have identified the victim as 76 year old, Caroline Croft of Shippensburg.

Police say she was struck by a vehicle heading south on State Route 11, as she was attempting to get back into her car which was parked on the side of the road, after visiting a yard sale.

She died at the scene of the accident.

State Police are continuing to investigate this accident pending the results from a reconstruction of the accident.
