Accident shuts down I-81 north in Franklin County overnight

One driver was flown to Hershey Medical Center for unknown injuries

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - An accident in Franklin County involving two tractor trailers shut down Interstate-81 northbound for more than two hours overnight Monday.
 
According to emergency dispatchers, Pennsylvania State Police responded to the call just before midnight at the 19 mile marker of I-81 north.
 
One of the drivers was flown to Hershey Medical Center with unknown injuries, and the road was shut down for about two and a half hours while crews worked to clean up the area.
