Junior Chef Academy teaches children how to cook

The final session was held Wednesday night

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - The Junior Chef Academy held its final session on Wednesday in Loudon County.

For the past six weeks, kids ages 9-12 learned how to cook under the guidance of Willowsford Culinary Director Bonnie Moore.

“I love to teach,” Moore said. “This is my first opportunity to work with kids. It’s completely different and really fun.”

On Wednesday, the kids made cheese soufflés and chocolate soufflés. Moore started the Foodies program two years ago. Moore once was a chef at the Inn at Little Washington, a five star and five diamond international restaurant.

The graduation ceremony will be held April 5, from 5:00-7:30 p.m.
