at the Rouss Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company. Winchester
The weather vane of a fireman has been down for a few years after it was damaged by a storm.
The first weather vane was built in 1753 and placed atop of the Union Fire Company.
The weather vane is a replica of the original one, which is on display at the Museum of Shenandoah Valley.
Donald Bowers, treasurer of the Rouss Volunteers, said that the weather vane is valued between $3 to $ 4 million.
