Woman, 55, stabbed while walking her dog in Alexandria

On Seminary Road, a man approached her from behind, cut her throat with a knife

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Police in Fairfax County are looking for the suspect responsible for stabbing a woman Wednesday evening. 
 
The 55-year-old victim was walking her dog along the 5500-block of Seminary Road when a man approached her from behind and cut her throat with a knife. 
 
The victim saw the suspect before he took off on a bike. He is being described as Hispanic, around 17 to 19-years-old, short and thin, wearing a gray zip-up sweatshirt and camouflage shorts. 
 
The victim was treated for a minor injury at a local hospital and was later released.
