Woodbridge man charged for role in fatal shooting

Officials say the shooting was the result of a dispute between the two involved

ARLINGTON, Va. - According to officials, a Woodbridge man has been charged with murder in connection to a fatal shooting in Arlington late Friday.
The victim, 35-year-old Adonis Wright, of Washington, D.C., was located by officers. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was then transported to George Washington University Hospital where he eventually died from injuries sustained.
Police responded to the incident in the 2400-block of South Lowell Street in Arlington.
Neighbors who live in the area discussed trends in crime in their neighborhoods and ways they try to stay safe.
"We have had violent incidents in the community. I have lived here for about five years now. As far as my safety concerns, me growing up here, I know how to keep to myself,” said Charlie Gaddy, resident.
According to officials, the initial investigation revealed that the shooting was the result of a dispute.
This shooting was an isolated incident, and officials said there is no indication of any continued threat to the community.
