"She harms herself, didn't intend to harm the children and the children died of the heat. She harmed her children and then harmed herself or all three accidentally died in the car because of the heat," said Captain Paul Kifer with the Hagerstown Police Department.
"I don't want anything from them, other than to make it right. I feel that they should do the right thing here and replace the equipment," said Kline.

Officials say $2,000 will go towards future cat adoptions, and $500 is for cat food. The donation is part of Purina Cat Chow's "Building Better Lives" program.
