A four vehicle collision claimed the life of one person Wednesday morning along Taneytown Pike (Rt. 140). The crash happened at 10:24 a.m. along the eastbound side of Rt. 140, west of Four Points Bridge Road in Frederick County.
A man who was struck by a Norfolk Southern train in Hagerstown earlier this month passed away in the hospital on Sunday, according to Capt. Paul Kifer with the Hagerstown Police Department.
Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department responded to the 300 block of S. Mulberry St. for a report of a single shot fired just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

A large fire in Front Royal over the weekend severely damaged a local home and killed multiple pets inside. The fire happened at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at a house located at 420 Duncan Avenue.
