Vikas Gowda, an alum of Frederick High School, qualifies for the Olympic Discus Finals after a throw of 65.20 meters to win Group A. Gowda represents India, the country where he was born. Gowda, who trains in Phoenix, AZ now, is one of the few athletes from India that have made the finals of an Olympic competition.
The Finals for the Discus competition take place Tuesday evening in London.
