Shenandoah Ranked #21 in D-III Preseason Baseball

The Shenandoah University baseball team is the nation's No. 21 team in the pre-season poll released Tuesday morning.

The Hornets, coming off a 37-7 season that saw the team win its first-ever USA South Conference regular season championship and spend a month ranked No. 1 in the nation, have 152 points in the poll to come in 18 points behind Redlands (Calif.).

Defending national champion Marietta (Ohio) is the pre-season No. 1 after grabbing all 25 first-place votes.

Shenandoah has three opponents on its 2012 schedule ranked in the top 10, including the season opener on February 17 versus No. 5 Cortland (N.Y.) State.
