WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for everyone today.

WINTER STORM WARNING in effect for Garrett County for a snow and wintry mix. Snowfall totals 3"-6"+

TODAY: A storm forming in the southeast will move up the eastern seaboard during the day. Cold air at the surface will lead to areas of freezing rain and rain. As warmer air from the south and east gets pulled into the storm, the wintry mix will change to a cold rain by the afternoon. The exception will be the higher spots to the north and west where a prolonged period of a wintry mix will lead to some snow and ice accumulation. Highs will only be in the mid 30s all day with temperatures rising to the upper 30s by night.

TONIGHT: A heavy rain with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. Ponding of water on roads and some localized flooding is possible. A wintry mix will continue well to the west in Garrett County.

WEDNESDAY: The storm will still be with us on Wednesday leading to tricky travel before Thanksgiving. Expect a cold rain to start the day, but as the storm pulls colder air in behind it, the rain will change and end as a period of snow showers in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s with them falling to the low 30s later in the day. A light snow accumulation is possible before the storm exits Wednesday night. Rainfall totals will amount to 1" to 3" with locally higher amounts. Some localized flooding is possible.

THANKSGIVING DAY: It's partly sunny and gusty at times early. It will be cold with a high of 30.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny and cold with a high of 36.

SATURDAY: It's partly cloudy and chilly. The high 36.

SUNDAY: Clouds and sun with a high of 43.

MONDAY: A mix of clouds and sunshine and warming up a bit to 46.

Enjoy your day! Alan
