TODAY: A morning flurry is possible, otherwise it's partly sunny, gusty and cold with a high of 34. Wind chills will remain in the 20s in the afternoon so bundle up.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and seasonably cold with a low in the low to mid 20s.

THURSDAY: High pressure overhead brings a mix of sun and clouds and warmer temperatures. The high 44. The Shenandoah Valley and Potomac Highlands may reach the low 50s.

FRIDAY: As a cold front approaches, expect more clouds than sun and above average highs in the upper 40s.

SATURDAY: The winter solstice arrives at 12:11pm and it won't feel like winter with daytime highs in the low 50s. A cold front brings a chance of some showers later in the day.

SUNDAY: Rain arrives in the afternoon and evening, but it's mild with a high around 65!

MONDAY: The front moves offshore with colder air behind it. High of 43.

TUESDAY: Sunny and colder with highs in the upper 30s.
