SHIPPENSBURG, PA- It's that time of the year again and the annual Shippensburg Community Fair is back celebrating its 56th year in operation.
At the fair you'll find rides, games and live animals this year. Along with a variety of food vendors that are all sponsored by local nonprofits in the area.
Fair ground officers say about 50,000 people attend the fair each year including locals and visitors from out of town.
"That's one of the great things about the fair I think because it's one thing that, that doesn't necessarily change, you know," said Jamie Rhine, Shippensburg Community Fair Office. "People can come back and expect the same thing every year. And that's what they look forward too."
They say it's also one of the few fairs in the area that doesn't charge admission making it easier for the community to attend.
"Take a look at the people who exhibit here every year and come here every year and are devoted to the community, and you know just to visit those people and try to patronize them as much as possible because it's just a great opportunity to do that," said
The Shippensburg Community Fair runs until this Saturday, July 27th. For more information about their events, click here.
