Anti-terrorism exercise scheduled for Thursday

An anti-terrorism exercise will be held in Martinsburg Thursday morning, according to a press release from the West Virginia Air National Guard.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – An anti-terrorism exercise will be held in Martinsburg Thursday morning, according to a press release from the West Virginia Air National Guard.

The exercise involving the 167th Airlift Wing is set to occur between 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Residents should expect to see increased activity on the west end of the base which will include simulated gunfire and improvised explosive devices.

The press release says officials want the public to know that there is no reason for concern.
