Armed Robbery Reported at Denny's in Hagerstown

Police say a Denny's employee was carrying the lock-box out of the restaurant Tuesday morning when she says two men ran up to her and stole the lock-box and her purse.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - On Tuesday, Hagerstown City Police reported what could be an armed robbery.

It happened between 9-10 a.m. at the Denny's on Dual Highway. 

Police say a Denny's employee was carrying the lock-box out of the restaurant Tuesday morning when she says two men ran up to her and stole the lock-box and her purse. 

The employee believes the men were armed with knives, according to police. 

"[The] manager was leaving to make deposits at which point she encountered two black males, who she believes had a gun, demanded cash, took her purse and wallet along with deposits," said Lt. Tom Langston, Hagerstown Police Department. 

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
