Armed Teen Breaks into Hagerstown Home

It happened around 11 p.m. Thursday in the 10900 block of Clinton Avenue.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - An 18-year-old teen is facing charges after he used a hand-gun during a home invasion in Hagerstown. 

It happened around 11 p.m. Thursday in the 10900 block of Clinton Avenue. 

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Office say the victims inside the home reported hearing noises coming from the back of the house. They say Cody Samuel Fiery, 18, and another person kicked opened the rear door of the home. 

Deputies say once inside Fiery pointed a hand gun at the homeowners. The homeowners were able to push Fiery out of the back doorway by slamming the door shut. The two then fled the scene.

Deputies say Fiery was found and taken into custody. He's charged with first degree burglary, first degree assault, reckless endangerment, malicious destruction of property more then $500, possession of a hand gun, conspiracy to use a hand gun during a violent crime and use of hand gun during a violent crime. 

Charges against the other person are pending.
