Arrests Made in Several Attempted Car Break-Ins in Frederick

Police say they responded to the 200 block of East Church Street around 11:38 a.m. after reports of two men acting suspicious in the area.
FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick Police Department arrested two men Tuesday morning after they say the duo attempted to break into several vehicles. 

Police say they responded to the 200 block of East Church Street around 11:38 a.m. after reports of two men acting suspicious in the area. Police say upon searching the area they found Behn Yanak Brown and Gary Steven Llyod Jr. breaking into an unlocked vehicle. 

Officers say they searched Brown and found several personal checks that were reported stolen in his possession. Upon further investigation, officers say it was determined Brown and Llyod had attempted to break into several other vehicles in the area, but were unsuccessful. 

Brown and Llyod were taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for processing. 

Brown is charged with theft under $100, rogue and vagabond, and three counts of tampering with a vehicle. Lloyd was charged with rogue and vagabond and three counts of tampering with a vehicle.
