WHAG NEWS - We're following breaking news out of Colorado. Investigators are on the scene of a school shooting.

It happened several hours ago around 12:30 p.m. at Arapahoe High School in Centennial.

Details are limited, but we do know that at least two students were injured, one critically. Investigators say the gunman, who was a student at the school, killed himself.

Officials say the shooter had a shotgun, and initially came into the school asking other students for a specific teacher. The teacher was alerted the shooter was coming for him, and then left the school in the hopes the shooter would then leave the building.

Officials say the shooter ended up going deeper inside the school, where he shot two students and eventually turned the gun on himself.
