Berryville Woman in Sibling Murder Case is Denied Bond

A Berryville woman remains in custody at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center, after being denied bond on Monday.

Berryville, Va. - A Berryville woman remains in custody at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center, after being denied bond on Monday.

Deborah Smith is accused of killing her sister, Gail Smith.

According to reports and seized phone records, Deborah and her brother Timothy conspired to have Gail killed after she received sole custody of their father's estate upon his death.

Deborah and Timothy allegedly hired assassin Tony Sharpe to murder their sister.

Gail Smith was found dead in her home with a gunshot wound to the head on July 30, 2009.

Sharpe has pleaded guilty to his charges, and has been working with police to help indict both Timothy and Deborah Smith.
