Weather Alert: Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for Garrett County, Maryland, Western Allegany County, Maryland & Western Grant & Western Mineral Counties in West Virginia, from midnight to 1:00 PM on Thursday. Wind chills tonight and into Thursday will be anywhere from -5 to -15 degrees in the advisory area.

Weather Synopsis: It was a nice but cold day across the area today, but it's going to be a very cold evening across the area, and on Thursday as well. Out next weather system arrives as we get into the weekend and right now we have it as a mixture of rain and snow, but I have the distinct feeling this will, once again, be more of a winter event than anything else because we have lots of cold air around the area, and we will not be able to scour that out before the next system arrives. I think some snow flakes will hang around into Sunday as well, before more sunshine and colder weather arrives as we get into the beginning of next week. It's definitely feeling more like Winter every day across the area, and we're not "officially" in winter yet!!

Have a great Wednesday Evening and I will see you on WHAG News at 7:00 & 11:00 PM!
