Chambersburg Coach Charged in Sexually Assaulting Teen

A coach from a Chambersburg area travel volleyball team has been charged in sexually abusing an underage boy.
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police say a coach from a Chambersburg area travel volleyball team is facing charges after they say he sexually abused an underage boy. 

State Police say the crime happened in the early part of 2012. They say Shawn Timothy Ranck, 32, of Chambersburg, is charged with indecent assault, corruption of a minor and criminal attempt involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. 

Police alleged Ranck showed pornographic movies, provided alcohol, sexually touched and solicited sexual acts from the boy. The boy was between 14-15 years old at the time of the alleged attack. 

Ranck is currently being held at the Franklin County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
