WHAG NEWS - A Chambersburg man who's charged with killing his estranged wife has died at a South Carolina jail.

The Newberry County Sheriff's Office said Charles Butler, 76, of Chambersburg died of natural causes on Saturday. Butler was previously arrested in Chambersburg for the murder of 66-year-old Andrenna Butler.

Police say they found Andrenna's body in December 2013 in her South Carolina home. They said there were no signs of forced entry, and nothing was stolen from the residence.

Officials said the couple had been married for more than 50 years.

Charles's death is being investigated by the State Law Enforcement Division.
