Commissioner Shaves Head For A Good Cause

The Commissioner pledged to shave his head for a $1,000 donation for the shelter's polar plunge.

Hagerstown, Md. - Washington County Commissioner Jeff Cline shaved his head and beard on Thursday to raise money for a good cause.

The commissioner pledged to shave his head for a $1,000 donation for the Humane Society of Washington County's polar plunge.

Michael Morrel jumped at the offer and took the clippers to Cline's head outside of the shelter. On the spot Cine matched the offer and his beard was gone. Morrel donated $2,000 toward the fundraiser.

"I just could not pass up the opportunity to make an elected official do what he said he would do. So I decided to throw in another $1,000 and shave his beard,” said Morrell.

The Humane Society of Washington County raised more than $20,000 for their plunge on Saturday.
