Community Raising Funds For Man Battling Bladder Cancer

Family and community members are rallying around Myers, holding a "Giving Back to Scott Day" on Saturday, hoping to raise funds to pay off his medical bills worth more than 50,000 dollars.
MARTINSBURG, W Va.--Community members are rallying around a man who has given his life to Berkeley County.

Scott Myers has been a deputy for the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office as well as a volunteer for the South Berkeley Fire Department for more than a decade. He is now battling bladder cancer and needs help.

Family and community members are rallying around Myers, holding a "Giving Back to Scott Day" on Saturday, hoping to raise funds to pay off his medical bills worth more than $50,000. They are holding drives at various locations including Hedgesville Fire Department, and Buffalo Wild Wings near the Martinsburg Mall.

"The bills we have here are phenomenal, we still have to live everyday," says Scott Myers, battling bladder cancer. "I won't have disability for another three months maybe probably early January and February."
