BERKELEY SPRINGS, W Va. - A country singer who's headed towards number one on the charts is in Morgan County for the weekend to play a concert in honor for those who serve our country.

Todd Allen Herendeen has been touring the country and now he's come to Berkeley Springs where he will perform a free concert on Saturday at the state park. One of his songs is called "My Name is America."

"The people around here are just wonderful people," said Herendeen. "They are nice, their hospitality has been great, more than eager to have us come, and present a concert."

This Florida native sings country, rock and gospel. He says the concert is for everyone who is currently serving and who has served.

"When my father came from Vietnam, the Vietnam veterans were not welcomed back home then for some reason or another and they got over looked, so that touches my heart," said Herendeen. "This is an opportunity to say hey guys, we did appreciate what you did."

Freedom Water based out of Berkeley Springs is sponsoring the concert. CEO Robert Walker says people who come will be treated to good music.

"This is a tremendous song, it's all about america what we are all about, trying to help. we are the land of the free, home of the brave," said Robert Allen Walker, CEO of Freedom Water.  "We are trying to help our nation with what we are doing, I think the song is tremendous. It's so patriotic, you have to take a chance, and a minute just listen to it."

The concert begins on Saturday at 4 p.m
