Crews Battle House Fire in Washington County

The Red Cross is being called to assist the occupants, and the fire marshal will be investigating.
CAVETOWN, Md. - Dozens of firefighters in Washington County battled a house fire Sunday morning.

According to the Smithsburg EMS Chief James Ulrich, it started just after 3 a.m. in the 22400 block of Old Georgetown Road in Cavetown.

Ulrich says he doesn't believe there are any injuries and says about 50 personnel battled the blaze.

The Red Cross is being called to assist the occupants, and the fire marshal will be investigating.
