Cumberland Arrested After Allegedly Impersonating Officer

Officers say the man, identified as Michael Robeson, was combative and aggressive with authorities and failed to comply with their orders.
CUMBERLAND, Md. - One man is behind bars after police say he impersonated a police officer and created a disturbance. 

The Cumberland Police Department responded to a restaurant on Queen City Drive in reference to a man impersonating an officer and being hostile.

Officers say the man, identified as Michael Robeson, was combative and aggressive with authorities and failed to comply with their orders.

One victim said Robeson attempted to steal from him, while another stated Robeson showed a silver badge when questioned about his authority.

Restaurant employees were able to restrain Robeson behind a counter until police arrived.

He's charged with impersonating an officer and is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center.
