A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for today.

TODAY: Snow will arrive before dawn this morning and last throughout the day. It will be heaviest late this morning into the early afternoon with snow totals ranging from 8"-12" across much of the region. Southern Pennsylvania will see slightly lesser amounts with 4"-8" of snow by tonight. The snow will end by 9pm.

TONIGHT: The clouds depart, but it's frigid with blowing and drifting snow. Temperatures will drop to the single digits with wind chills down to -15 at times. This is dangerous cold and frostbite can set in within a few minutes.

WEDNESDAY: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid teens. Wind chills will remain in the single digits to near zero.

THURSDAY: A flurry is possible with a clipper passing to our north. High 20.

FRIDAY: Partly cloudy and blustery with highs still only in the low 20s.

SATURDAY: A flurry is possible and it's not quite as cold with a high near freezing.

SUNDAY: Partly sunny and warming up and still cold. The high 32.

MONDAY: We're still in the freezer with partial sunshine. Highs back in the mid 20s.

Enjoy your day! Alan
