A cold front approaching our region brings a good chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly after 1pm. Some of the storms could be severe with gusty winds and even some hail. It's still hot and humid with lows in the low 90s, but it will feel close to 100 in the afternoon when you factor in the humidity.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with a chance of a few thunderstorms. Low 70.

THURSDAY: More scattered showers and thunderstorms with the front nearby. It's still warm and humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Localized flash flooding is possible with some torrential downpours.

FRIDAY (FOURTH OF JULY): Mostly sunny and turning less humid. High around 80.

SATURDAY: Sunny and comfortable with high pressure in charge. High 82.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and a bit warmer with highs in the mid 80s.

MONDAY: The heat is back on with temperatures in the low 90s with a mix of clouds and sun.

TUESDAY: A cold front moving from the northwest brings a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. High 90.

Enjoy your day! Alan
