Annual Clothing Drive Kicks Off in Washington County

Officials with Children in Need say the collections will kick off on February 10, 2014 and will run through February 21, 2014.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Officials with Washington County Public Schools are once again teaming up with one local organization for their seventh annual clothing drive. 

Officials with Children in Need say the collections will kick off on February 10, 2014 and will run through February 21, 2014. Students, families school staff are encouraged to donate items at the following schools. 
  • Barbara Ingram School for the Arts
  • Pangborn Elementary
  • Ruth Ann Monroe Primary
  • Eastern Elementary
  • Funkstown Elementary
  • Greenbrier Elementary
  • Potomac Heights Elementary
  • Old Forge Elementary
  • Paramount Elementary
CIN says they're always in need of gently used clothing, coats and jackets. CIN is a non-profit organization founded in Dec. 1998 to provide Washington County children the necessities for learning. 

CIN uses gently used clothing, new underwear, socks, t-shirts, toiletries and school supplies to children eligible for the Free and Reduced Meal program in Washington County Public Schools. 

Donations can be dropped off at any of the schools listed above, or Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon at Children in Need on 131 West North Avenue in Hagerstown.
