WINCHESTER, Va. - After 30 years away from downtown Winchester, the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Souvenir Store is returning.
"With the renaissance of old town, the boom that's been happening back down here really led us to see what was back down here again," said John Rosenberger, executive director of the Apple Blossom Festival.

"We began ordering the first part of January, and merchandise will be delivered continuously over the next week,” said Mike Hummer, co-chair of Souvenir Sales of the Apple Blossom Festival. “We do as much locally as possible. Most of our apparel and clothing is done locally.”
The festival has been handling its own merchandise and promotional items since the 1980's, when the store was created.

The store moved to the Apple Blossom Mall in an effort to tie the two together, but it didn't last. Since then it has relocated almost every year.
"Wouldn’t surprise me if we've had 20 different locations in the 30 years since we left here," Rosenberger said.
Along with hats and t-shirts, the Apple Blossom Store will also sell new items this year, including a glass beer mug with a place for your favorite celebrity to permanently autograph it.
"We open March 31st and will be open for about 30 days. We'll close the week after the festival, in the early part of May," Hummer said.
The Apple Blossom Festival, which draws about 300,000 people
