Weather Synopsis: We’re watching an area of low pressure develop across the southern United States tonight, and move up the Eastern Seaboard as we get into tomorrow. That combined with an upper level disturbance moving through the region will give us some light snow as we get into Tuesday. What’s helping us with the projected accumulations through Tuesday, is that this is falling during the daytime hours. The sun angles are higher during the daylight hours, which will help melt whatever snow does fall, except for elevated surfaces, and grassy surfaces. The travel impact will be low for this one, and from the looks of it, this will be Winter’s last gasp!!

As this system begins to pull away into Wednesday, we are going to get windy!  Wind chill values during the day will be in the teens and 20’s with air temperatures in the 30’s. Once this moves away, we begin to warm up quite a bit, into the 50’s on Thursday and 60’s on Friday, with our next chance of rain, late this week.

We’ll continue to track the snow heading towards the region.

I’ll see you tonight on WHAG News at 7:00 and 11:00 with all the details!  Have a great evening!
