Weather Synopsis: After a fantastic holiday weekend with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures, we’ve brought back the 3H’s of Summer, Hazy, Hot and Humid, and it looks like the next few days will carry chances for showers and thunderstorms.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed the entire viewing area under a Slight Risk for severe weather for Tuesday Afternoon and Evening. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rainfall and lightning will accompany any storms that develop tomorrow afternoon and evening.

These thunderstorms are all in advance of a cold front that will move through the area as we get into Wednesday Evening. So we will go ahead and keep the chance of thunderstorms in the forecast through the middle of the week.

High pressure will control the forecast for the end of the upcoming week, before more chances for showers and thunderstorms come back into the picture for the upcoming weekend and into early next week with a return to the summer like heat and humidity.

Have a great evening, and we’ll keep you ahead of the storms over the next few days.

See you on WHAG News at 7:00 and 11:00 PM!
