Weather Alert:
The National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington, D.C. has issued a Flash Flood Watch for Frederick County, MD and Loudoun County, VA from 2:00 PM Tuesday until 2:00 AM Wednesday.  Heavy rainfall is possible with thunderstorms that develop, and could lead to flash flooding in and close to the watch area.

Weather Synopsis: After we had some cloud cover this morning, we’ve broken into some sunshine, but we’re still keeping chances for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the end of the work week.  With a frontal boundary near the region tonight through tomorrow, that front will lift north Wednesday Night and into Thursday, before a cold front swings through here late on Friday, bringing us a clear and less humid weekend.

Before the front rolls through, we will have the chance for strong to severe thunderstorms tonight, better chances for those as we get into Wednesday. Damaging winds and hail will be the primary threat.

High pressure will control our forecast for the weekend, before chances for showers and thunderstorms come back to the forecast as we get into early next week.

I’ll see you on WHAG News at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 7:00 and 11:00 PM.
