Weather Synopsis: Another day with lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures for Maryland’s Primary Election Day, but we will be watching the radar over the next few days.

Tonight, we will keep the chance of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. These should last through mid to late evening, before winding down, leaving us with the potential for some patchy fog after midnight tonight. The best threat for thunderstorms tonight should be along and to the West of Interstate 81.

As we watch an area of low pressure move towards the area, we will keep the heat and humidity and chances for showers and thunderstorms. Some of those could be strong to severe on Wednesday. Damaging winds and heavy rainfall would be the primary threats along with cloud to ground lightning can be anticipated.

Once this front moves through, we may see an isolated storm on Thursday and Friday, as high pressure, especially on Thursday, as we watch an upper level disturbance move towards the area, and with an area of high pressure off the Eastern Seaboard, that will once again keep the chances of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, also with increasing temperatures through the beginning of next week, along with the chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Keep an eye to the sky the next few days, and keep the umbrella handy as well!

I’ll see you on WHAG News at 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM tonight.
