Weather Synopsis: More heat and more humidity today, and the radar has been active with showers and thunderstorms, but as we see a cold front move through tonight, we will bring an end to the showers and thunderstorms.

High pressure will control the forecast for the next few days. Before changes a come in as we get into the weekend. Right now, we’re keeping the weekend at a 50/50 split, with one day having chances for rain showers, and the other will have some sunshine. But as we get back into the beginning of next week, we will continue with the chances for showers and thunderstorms into the beginning of next week as well. Temperatures will stay close to average as we get into the beginning of next week.

We’re also tracking the tropics, nothing in the Atlantic right now as we have said goodbye to Bertha, but we’re watching the double tropical trouble in the Pacific with Hurricane Iselle, and Hurricane Julio, as Iselle will hit head on into the island chain, and then Julio will move a little north of the Big Island, but still bring rains and winds to most of the Island Chain. Hurricane Warnings have been issued by the Central Pacific Hurricane Center for Hawaii County, Hawaii (The Big Island) as Iselle approaches.

See you on WHAG News at 7:00 and 11:00 PM tonight.
